Brief Description:  Brakes, wheel pants

Drilled holes in the floor just behind the main gear to install grommets and feed the brake cable through. Made measurements from the gear side since it extends further aft then the inside cross angle. Drilling too close to the angle from the inside could hit the landing gear.

Cut the brake cable housings to length, fed the cable into the housing, attached it to the brake arm on one side, looped through the pulley, and down the other housing to the other side. Then cut the brake cable to length after snugging it up to remove all slack and put some tension on the brake arms. There is some spotty drag on the drums. Others have noted this and time will tell if the brake shoes wear in satisfactorily.

Installed cotter pins on the main gear nuts and installed the main gear pants. The cables are just taped in place for now. I'll try drilling/tapping to install the AN742-D3 cable clamps instead of through drilling and countersinking as shown on ONX-L04 View B-B. I'd like to provide some access on the side of the pant for the tire valve, but haven't detailed that yet. Providing a hole and cap shouldn't be a problem, but I need to find a way to remove/install the recessed valve cap and an air chuck that could reach the valve.

Temporarily fitted the nose gear pant. I'll install the upper -3 side screws after I see what needs to be done to provide for a tow bar attachment. I installed the tire so the valve stem in on the side of the wheel pant that is removed with the screws. That way, no need to remove the tire to get at the valve stem.
